The Pentacle, carved in Anglo-Saxon style, was known as the Seal of Solomon. It is a symbol of Earth and Prosperity as seen the Tarot. The pentacle in its upright position represents the Spirit in balance and harmony with the four elements. There are 26 creatures embellishing this piece. Can you find them all?

#135 Mannanan plaque

Mannanan is the warrior god of the sea for whom the Isle of Man is named. On his seahorse, Splendorous Mane, with his weapon that never missed its mark, chain mail that no weapon could penetrate, and a mantle that made him invisible, he ruled Elysium, the kingdom under the ocean. Rhiannon's consort and son of the sea god Llyr, Mannanan protects sailors, assists with water magic and astral projection, bestows agelessness and is deeply connected with water fairies. His name is written in Theban script on the banner.

#134 Rhiannon plaque

"Rhiannon" is derived from the earlier Welsh that literally translates as Great Queen Goddess. She rode a pale white horse, carried the magical bag of abundance, and the song of her three sacred birds was so perfect it held power over life and death. A prince who attempted to overtake her rode for several days before asking her to wait. Known rewarding those who ask for what they want, she stopped immediately, saying "ôand it would have been better for your horse had you asked long before this." Her name is written in Theban script on the banner.

Cernunnos, known as the Horned One, is the antlered God of the Forest. His name is written in Theban script on the banner and he is represented as the God of Abundance and Prosperity. He is often seen carrying a sack that spills out coins as a blessing to his people. Call on him to increase the flow of abundance in your life.

#140 Cernunnos Pentacle

(original was carved from mahogany)

Carved with the image of Cernunnos, the antlered God of the Forest, Abundance and Shamanism, the pentacle in its upright position represents the spirit in balance and harmony with the four elements. It is also a symbol of Earth and Prosperity as seen in the tarot. The inscription around its edge is excerpted from, –The Song of Amergin;” and reads: –I am the stag of seven ties. Who but I can reveal the secrets of the unhewn dolman?”

Habondia Plaque

Oak Pentacle

Original carved from oak.
The pentacle is a symbol of Earth and Prosperity as seen in the tarot. The three symbols at the top of the pentacle represent the three degrees of initiation. The Taurus symbol represents the Horned God, or divine masculine. The waxing and waning crescents represent the Goddess, or sacred feminine. At the bottom, the two S's represent Mercy and severity, or the scourge and the kiss. The oak is revered by many ancient traditions.
